The Corsair Smart Lighting Controller is the heart of this iCUE LS100 Smart Lighting Strip Starter Kit, providing 2 channels of ARGB communication with 138 LEDs per channel. Powered via external 5V power adapter and connect with PC using Micro USB cable.
The CORSAIR iCUE LS100 Smart Lighting Strip Starter Kit comes with total of four flexible LED strips, 2 x Short RGB LED Strips (250mm), 2 x Long RGB LED Strips (450mm) with white diffuser silicone protective covers. Short RGB LED strip have 15 ARGB LEDs and the long RGB LED strip have 27 ARGB LEDs.
Installation and Testing
Installation of CORSAIR iCUE LS100 Smart Lighting Strip Starter Kit was very easy. Just clean the back surface of monitor properly, stick the included Metal Plate (with Adhesive Tape) on back of your monitors. LED strips and controller have magnets so now just stick them to the metal plates. Now connect them all with RGB extension cables. You can manage extra cable lengths using provided Cable Management Clips.
Connect the AC power adaptor to CORSAIR iCUE LS100 Smart Lighting Controller and connect with PC using Micro USB cable.
When you plug the CORSAIR iCUE LS100 Smart Lighting Strip in your PC first time, it automatically recommends you to download and install CORSAIR iCUE software.

Conclusion
Overall working with the CORSAIR iCUE LS100 Smart Lighting Strip was a great fun. Product was very easy to install and work great with CORSAIR's iCUE Software. Included Cable management clips help a lot in hiding extra cable behind the monitors.
It would have been great if lighting can be turned ON/OFF according to PC ON or OFF state. After shutting down the PC one must separately turn the LED OFF. Corsair can also include same sort of PCI-e rear bracket power adaptor so that iCUE LS100 Smart Lighting can get 5v from internal PSU SATA power connector. This can solve the separate RGB lighting ON/OFF issue.
Finally with easy installation and impressive ambient lighting effect, the CORSAIR iCUE LS100 Smart Lighting Strip Kit is nice product to add more RGB lighting dimension to your PC and is worthy of our PC TeK Reviews CHOICE Award.
