Load Test
To test the PSU we manually overclock our i9-9900K CPU up to 5.2GHz (and MAX at 5.6GHz) all cores and memory up to 4400Mhz. We run different benchmarks and stability test and found that the PSU is keeping system very stable during all tests.
For reference we compared the older Corsair VS550 PSU with the new CV550 PSU.
Beside the all black cables the Corsair CV550 PSU looks similar like the older version i.e. Corsair VS550 PSU. But internally the active Power-factor correction (PFC) circuit section is upgraded and tuned to achieve the 80 PLUS Bronze efficiency mark.
